Shenandoah Conservatory invites high school students from throughout the region to participate in Double Bass Day on Saturday, September 27, 2025. Students will participate in masterclasses and technique workshops led by Shenandoah Conservatory’s prestigious music faculty.

Do you wish to perform in a Masterclass?*

Everyone attends the masterclass, but only a few people play. The rest of us learn by watching the teacher work with the people who have volunteered to perform. A masterclass, then, is like a 15–20 minute public lesson. Masterclass spots are limited, so players may be waitlisted. If you click "Yes," the professors will email you 1 to 2 weeks before the event to ask what you would like to play or to let you know you have been placed on the waitlist.
